On Thursday 18th and Friday 19th of February LYC Leaders Sahanur Ahmed from 'Little Ilford School’ and O’niel Croal from 'Stockwell Park High School’ were given the opportunity of work experience at the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
"Over the last two days we were working at the London Chamber of Commerce where we had a chance to see and experience the world of work. On the first day we attended and observed a meeting with new members of the London Chamber and we found out many exciting things about the chamber. We made banners for an LYC event 'Capital Careers 2010’ and helped to find relevant business stories from the Guardian newspaper.
As part of the work experience we also researched the 5th Matrix – an online careers tool and investigated how it could be improved. We have managed to gain many new working skills. Everyone there was very polite and helpful.
In conclusion we would like to give a huge thanks to Fiona Rezende - London Young Chamber Manager for giving us an opportunity of the work experience and also to the people who were very gentle and polite to us."
