Diss Young Chamber Go Live
The Diss Young Chamber Council got to see the real behind the scenes activity when they visited Anglia TV in Norwich.They were given a guided tour of the offices studios , operations gallery.Nigel Coe , Ang;lia Operations Manager gave them an insight into the day to day workings of a television studio , the roles that were involved and which kind of career path they would have to follow to be part of this industry. The students got to sit in the gallery and witness the live lunchtime news broadcast being transmitted.
The watched the weather forecast being recorded and then some of them got to present the weather to camera using the auto cue.The students were impressed by so much is produced in such a small space, they had envisaged vast studios and large numbers of staff. It was a real insight into how technology and market demands have changed the broadcasting industry in such a dramatic way.
