The LCCI launched Capital Careers – the Jobs Guide for Young Londoners in July 2009. The guide featured young people from varied organisations across London and detailed their current roles and the different routes they took into them. Having gained funding from the London Development Agency, Capital Careers is being distributed to schools across London aiming to raise the careers awareness of young people as they make key decisions about their future careers.
Capital Careers 2010 which is taking place at the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 26 February will continue upon this theme when 300 students from years 8 and 9 will take part in taster sessions and challenges delivered by employers demonstrating practical aspects of their work.
