We are girls from Sion-Manning that are part of 'The young chambers of commerce’, with a passion in contributing to our community. We are from the borough from Kensington and Chelsea. We have recently noticed that crime among young people in our area has increased.  Knife Crime has increased. 29% of young people in London schools admitted that they had carried a knife. This figure rises to 62% among excluded students. Also, 10% of 11-12 year olds and 24% of 15 and 16 year olds said they had carried a weapon in the past year.

Is this how we want to live? Enough is enough. We need to stand up together and prevent London from turning in to a war zone. We need to show teen’s there are more things in life. We were hoping that we would start this through engaging with the young people of London. We need to make them feel included in society.

We are hosting a concert/ talent show, to celebrate all the existing talent in our local areas. We are searching for talented teens through dance and singing. We are also requiring a few celebrities to attend to judge the talents and decide the winner. We also want them to perform in our event, to increase awareness of the matter. The Venue is yet to be confirmed, closer to the date.
