Alex Halsey from Carisbrooke High School scooped the Young Chamber Young Apprentice 2008 award at an exciting ceremony at Quay Arts, Newport, Isle of Wight. Alex beat 25 other young people over five seperate challenges to take the crown. The challenges based on the popular TV programme saw the students pitted against each other in five separate business locations – Wightlink, Liz Earle , The Needles, IOW Council and a special social enterprise challenge. - Full Story

The Isle of Wight Young Chamber Apprentice Challenge continued with an amazing event at Liz Earle Beauty Company in Ryde. The 26 apprentices faced a challenge based around putting together a “kit” for TV shopping channel QVC, getting the kit quality controlled, liasing with the warehouse, putting the stock into production and finally delivering the order to QVC. - Full Story
