As The Skills Factor finalists waited nervously for the judges to announce their verdicts, it was time for the Battle of the Bands to take place.
And what a battle it was!
Broken Way, Megan Hitchcock and The Kerensky Offensive wowed the crowd with a fabulous mix of music that left everyone wanting more – including the judges!
But, as always, there could only be one winner and the fantastic top prize of a pair of Bestival tickets each with return travel, donated by Wightlink, was won by five piece pop punk band, The Kerensky Offensive.
Hannah Jones (vocals), Will Jefford (guitar), Oliver Morton (guitar), and twins Alex (drums) and James (bass) Palmerfield said their main influences were Paramore, Blink 182 and Fallout Boy.
But on the day, they had the main influence on the judges, who paid tribute to all the finalists.
Megan Hitchcock has been in love with music from a very early age, and now sings and writes her own songs. Broken Way got together more than a year ago and also write their own material.
Broken Way and Megan Hitchcock were awarded gift vouchers.
